Walsh Avenue, Acme

Located on the south end of Acme is Frank Fooks Memorial Park with a well treed campground, including 16 power/water 30 amp stalls, and on-site campground management.  Within a short walking distance, there is a new washroom/shower facility.

This small campground (3 acres) is located just off Highway 21 along with a natural draw, which has a small dammed water body. The waters here are not stocked due to the high pH levels in the water and are located on and owned by the adjacent landowner. The site comfortably allows for 10 stalls, which each have their own picnic tables and fire pits. There is also outhouses and a camp kitchen with municipal tap water.

Main Campground is located near downtown Carbon on Caradoc Avenue (Main Street) near the swimming pool, school and local amenities.  East Campground is located along the 836 Highway (Rosebud Street) on the east edge of the village. Within short walking distance of the Main Campground, swimming pool and downtown Carbon.

The popular Keiver’s Lake is located 1 mile south of Highway 583 on Range Road 26-0. The campground runs along the NE portion of the Lake with large old tree growth creating a picturesque site as well as providing shelter. With a full time Park Attendant on-site during the season, May 15 - September 30, there are over 50 campsites available; 25 marked, 25 random, 3 group sites, and 3 tent only sites.

Spend time in the lovely East Coulee Campground where you can enjoy the quiet life of a small village on the prairies. Situated beside a stocked catch and release trout pond in a valley that intersects the village. Enjoy the variety of wildlife that migrates through on a regular basis. You can see muskrats, ducks, geese, deer and many others.

The Starland Recreation Area features 75 sites, nature trails, access to fishing, three baseball diamonds, a playground, outhouse toilets, fire pits, free firewood, drinking water, and a camp kitchen.

Camping, Fishing, Day use May 15 - September 30
Swalwell campground located along the Swalwell Dam just South West of the Hamlet of Swalwell is a stocked dam for fishing. The site is comfortable allowing for 10 stalls, which each have their own picnic tables and fire pits. There are picnic tables, park benches, fire pits and day use sites as well as outhouses located here.

The Three Hills Campground is located on the east side of Town just off Secondary Road 583.  47 Sites, complete with camp concession stand, shower facilities, ball diamonds, and within walking distance to local restaurants and other amenities, the Three Hills campground it the perfect place to stay and play!!

At the east campground, most sites are in open grassy fields and close together. There are some private, large sites surrounded by brush. This campground is located on the flood plain in the Red Deer River Valley. At the west campground, there are many large private sites surrounded with thick ground cover.

Stay at one of Trochu Golf Club’s campsites overlooking the coulee full of beautiful golf. Campsites are serviced with power and water available. The Town of Trochu has a sewer dump located at the UFA gas station available for use at no cost.

The campground has 38 full serviced lots, water, sewer, 30 amp power, fire pits and one dumping station. 11 of the lots have winter services available. Heated washrooms with hot and cold running water are on the grounds.
Entertainment is available in the form of, a large sandbox, two sets of horseshoe pits, three ball diamonds with shale infields, player dugouts and bleachers.
