From its humble beginnings as a Village in 1912, the Town of Three Hills has a long history of community hospitality, pride, economic expansion and convenient locality.
With a current population of 3,212 residents, Three Hills has the security and quality of life of a small town with numerous "big city” amenities.  The Downtown sector features numerous shopping and dining conveniences as well as a number of financial institutions and service necessities. With 7 parks and over 4kms of trails, abundant green space can be found throughout the community. In addition, excellent recreation facilities, dynamic arts organizations and numerous service groups, all lend well to the Towns quality of life. 
The residents of Three Hills take great pride in providing a welcoming atmosphere for visitors and locals alike.  Social events are commonplace with many venues to choose from, including markets, cabarets, celebrations and concerts.  Community events are produced by several organizations throughout the year, including the famous Cruise Weekend featuring over 1000 vehicles.  The Town’s abundant facilities, social opportunities, and a welcoming atmosphere make Three Hills a wonderful place to play!  
The Town of Three Hills offers a wide variety of Educational Opportunities.  The school system is administered by the Golden Hills School Division and provides kindergarten to grade 12 at both Prairie Christian Academy and Three Hills School.  Prairie Bible Institute provides post-secondary training through Prairie Bible College, Prairie School of Mission Aviation and Prairie College of Applied Arts and Technology. Numerous other post-secondary schools are located within an hour's drive.  For those seeking employment enhancement programs or wishing to continue their education, a number of adult learning organizations are available.
Major industry within the Town of Three Hills includes agricultural endeavours; oil& gas exploration, production, and services; hospitality services; and retail.   Three Hills welcomes new development and commerce and works closely with industries that wish to settle in this community. Three Hills’ central location provides residents and businesses with an optimal position for convenient commuting and transportation.  The community is bordered to the East by arterial Highway 21, to the North by Highway 27 and West by Canadian National Railway.  The local Airport boasts a 3000x75 foot asphalt runway for even greater accessibility.  Centrally located within an hour of Red Deer, Strathmore, Olds and Drumheller and within an hour of Calgary’s International Airport, Three Hills’ prime location makes this community a wonderful place to live, work and play.
