Economic Development Strategic and Future Growth Plan
The Town of Three Hills is pleased to announce that they have been successful in receiving the Alberta Economic Development and Trade, Summer 2018 Community and Regional Economic Support (CARES) Grant program. This matching grant will be used to complete theTown of Three Hills Economic Development Strategic and Future Growth Plan over the next two years.
With the collaboration of Town Administration, Town Council, the Economic Growth Committee and various stakeholders and partners, the plan will focus on three key areas:
1. Business Retention and Expansion: an in-depth look at our existing business community to identify the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats to the Town of Three Hills’ current business climate.
2. Economic Development Strategic Plan: clearly defined, strategic and focused economic growth strategies to maintain a vibrant and strong community with a sustainable future.
3. Future Growth Commercial/ Industrial Area Structure Plan: the plan will utilize the data from the Economic Development Strategy to develop a high-level structural blueprint for the growth and development of lands identified in our Future Land Concept Plan.
TheTown of Three Hills Economic Development Strategic and Future Growth Plan is intended to be used as a road map to direct Economic Development initiatives for both the Town of Three Hills and its public partners. Specifically, the plan will be used internally by the Economic Development Officer, the Economic Growth Committee, Council and Administration to set policy and procedure and to proactively plan and implement economic growth within the community.
Further, the information contained within the plan will be made public to ensure that our local Partners, Industry Stake Holders, Investors and Support Organizations have access to the documents and data to assist in making informed business and development decisions for our region.
